Massive sized 1 bedroom Villa with an 8m x 3m pool and comfy outside living area. Huge king size bed, massive double shower and bathroom. The photos don't do it justice. Will defiantly be staying there again. 3 minute drive from seminyak square and about 10 min drive to legion it's a great little spot.
Take some decent mozzie spray.
I only stayed here overnight, as I arrived late and just wanted a good, clean place to sleep before moving to a more upmarket hotel the next day. Exactly what I needed! Wouldn't really suit me for a long stay -pool is tiny and shaded, but rooms are nice, and very good value. So if you out all day, or can visit someone at hotel with a big pool it might work!
We are retired couple, who went to Bali only because we could not get onto our stand-by flight to Dubai from Auckland. Flying 'Virgin Australia' to Bali was an experience we never wish to repeat. Their check-in in Auckland failed, forcing us to stay in a queue for 4 hrs without food or drink. Arrived in Sydney late and missed our connection flight to Bali. Were put up in a hotel by Virgin Australia only to face yet another 3 hrs wait in a check-in queue with just 4 staff checking in 2 flights of 340 people. By the time we arrived in 'The Kana' Hotel in the evening the next day, we were washed out and agitated.
From the moment we arrived at 'The Kana', we felt we were taken care off and well looked after. Were it not for the dangerous foot paths, a walk from the Hotel to Kuta Beach would be a relaxing, one and a half km stroll. We'd booked a room with a balcony which turned out to be perfect for relaxing and chilling out when not exploring Kuta.
Flat screen tv with 60 channels, air con, in room safe, new comfy beds with soft sheets, free wifi, small fridge, and nice pool. Small warung 30meters away with super cheap indo food (1.20AUD), free coffee and kettle in the room.
The bed is a double, not KING size as advertised, room is small but enough room for 2 large suitcases. Bathroom is tiny but functional. Windows dont open. You'll need to buy bug spray to clear the room of mosquitos daily - but all hotels in Bali suffer this affliction. Bathroom had a smell of turd, due to drains not clearing water so well, but a fragrance block sorts this out.
Manager (the guy) isnt so friendly but the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager tried to stick me in a single bed room when I arrived, but I sorted him out quickly, and was given the correct room. Pictures online are taken with a wide angle lens as the hotel isnt as spacious as you might be made to believe.
My stay for 14 nights was worth every bit of the 12 bucks per night, but I wouldnt pay the standard rate, as for that money I would stay at the Radiant Hotel just up the road. But if you can get it for what I paid, then jump on it!
Great hotel close to the beach (it's just right outside), with great facilities - gym, pool tables, air hockey, table tennis table, Playstation... It's more than what you can ask for. Room also came at an affordable price, highly recommended!
