"Stayed in Room 2722 (Business Suite) on 21 June 2025 — extremely spacious, spotless, and impeccably maintained. A true 5-star experience. Check-in by Shermin was smooth and professional; she was warm, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. High tea was outstanding — far better than Hilton KL — with exceptional service from friendly, attentive staff. Huge compliments to Vicky, who once again went above and beyond. He remembered my pillow preferences and even sent four extra bottles of water without me requesting — an incredible touch showing true dedication to guest comfort. Special mention to Alice at Shang Palace — exceptional service without pushing upsells, attentive and knowledgeable, making the dining experience very enjoyable. Regret not having the bird’s nest available as it requires 24-hour advance booking. Check-out was fast and seamless. Breakfast was delicious, with a special mention for the sausages at Lemon Garden — presumably homemade — which, to date, I’ve only seen at Shangri-La. A rare standout in hotel dining! Swimming pool is small but clean and functional — ideal for a quick dip. Overall, this stay exceeded all expectations. From front office to housekeeping, every staff member delivered excellence. Special compliments to Sheila from the call center and Mia from reservations — both were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and proactive. Highly commendable team. Shangri-La truly remains a benchmark for world-class hospitality. "

"1. Loved the room & the view 2. I had requested a smoking room in my reservations & even sent a message to remind. I received an email back saying allocation is based on availability. But during check-in I was informed that the whole hotel is non-smoking. Would be good if I was informed of this prior so I can manage expectations. "

"Property start to rundown. Used living room restaurant for breakfast and high tea. It is not great, foods are not fresh, no service attitude. Table and placemat are not clean properly. Room phone are not working even after told the front desk, hence not able to order IRD. "

"doesn't match the 5-star hotel status. Only 2 lines for check in, where 1 line is for priority members, and both lines wait for their turn for approximately 10-15mins each guests. I do not know why check in takes this long. When it is my turn, it is the same, where the staff just stares into the computer for 10 mins. Furthermore, any requests that were made before my arrival was not noted although the staff has remarked that she will put a note on my booking. None of the staff found any notes for my booking. Room is also dusty, and the toiletries tray is full of dust. I will not stay here again."

"Room is very spacious, staff are very welcoming and attentive, loving the birthday deco and the helium balloons provided, the hand written wishes on the glass table was so sweet & thoughtful. Water pressure on hand bidet and sink faucet was really strong but shower head water pressure is not strong, please fix it. Room is clean, but smells a little musty could be from damp carpet or something. Aircond was working fine but the temperature control was locked and we couldnt adjust the temperature to our preferred setting. Might have to call room service to adjust aircond temp. Hairdryer, room slippers are provided. They provide 4 huge water bottles. Nothing much on their minibar, it was just alright but klcc and eatery places are walkable from hotel around 10-15min walks so you could save yourself from heavy traffic. Pools are big and fun. Not much variety on breakfast spread but it was okay. Food quality are just okay, I hope they can improve. Room dining are quite pricey to be honest, it is actually really pricey. But you can always walk to klcc for food. Not really far but might sweat a bit cause of the heat. Their welcoming staff & services are really great! Will always come again. Since facing the other way, you may not get klcc view but it is still nice. Gonna be my fav hotel. I dont know about the housekeeper stealing things as I only stay for a night but be careful with your belongings if staying more than one night. But apart from that, I love everything they provide."
