"I should preface this review by saying I had the great good fortune to live in London in 1983. London has a very different, slightly down-at-the-heels look and smell for me that I LOVE. People give five ⭐️ reviews for different reasons. This is mine: the Parkwood has this wonderful feel for me. It is a very clean and exceptionally friendly place. The breakfast is lovely. The staff and owner Monty are friendly and flexible. I am not the kind of traveler who wants a sterile anonymous environment....

"I had a pleasant stay at Barry House Hotel overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great for getting around. The only downside was that the window in my room was broken and couldn’t close properly. Since it was March, the temperatures weren’t extremely low, but it did make the room a bit chilly. Das Frühstück war inberiffen und sehr gut. Eier, Speck und Würstchen wurden individuell frisch zubereitet. Das restliche Frühstücksbuffet war auch gut.
