"Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel as listed… don’t even include still bottled water etc. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was clean but definitely feel like they skimped on some of the amenities. Room was listed to have record player and didn’t, only received after calling and asking. Rooftop bar was closed for a private event so I didn’t even get to check that out. Vip drink ticket was only given to me after I asked. "

"It’s a beautiful property but not close to anything really. Just plan on staying at the resort and doing all activities and meals on site. It was hard to leave, it’s a magical place and we highly recommend it!"

"Awesome 3 night stay in early May in a nicely decorated and refurbished over water bungalow. Quiet and tranquil. Spectacular views from all the bungalows and around the property. Excellent service. A hands on general manager who personally greets each guest and who was always available for questions and comments. As an avid paddle boarder I enjoyed use of the boards provided for guests. The bungalows sit in waist deep water perfect for swimming, walking, or watching the Eagle Rays swim by."

"The Doubletree Resort was like a home away from home. The staff turned into family-family you like. Everyone was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. "We loved the location of this property. Unfortunately, this place only has 5 good overwater bungalows. The rest are in such shallow water &, or the views are restricted by the other bungalows that are in front of them. I'm sorry to say it, but both the breakfast & Saturday night BBQ buffet, was absolutely horrible. "Nicest OWB we have stayed in the French Polynesia! Staff was excellent and quite beautiful location.
