"Pine Lake resort is in a beautiful location with easy access to the motorway and A6. The reception staff are always friendly, polite and helpful. The studio accommodation is lovely which is spacious, clean and has great facilities. All the things you would need at home you'll find in your room. I've stayed at the Pine Lake resort several times before and is always at top of my list for somewhere to stay in the area. Definitely would recommend here."

"Had a great stay at the Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel recently. It’s a really convenient base if you’re visiting the North West – just off the motorway, with plenty of parking and easy to find. The rooms are clean and comfortable, especially for a three-star hotel, and everything was kept to a high standard throughout my four-night stay. There were a few minor hiccups – I’d booked a king bed but, like many hotels, it was two singles joined together. Normally this comes with a topper to smooth out the join, but unfortunately not this time, and the mattress felt like it had seen better days. That said, it still did the job. There wasn’t an ironing board in the room, but one was quickly sorted by the helpful cleaning staff. Worth noting that the slip road off the motorway is full of potholes – not the hotel’s fault, but something to be aware of. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was very positive, and I’d definitely stay here again."

"The facilities are very good, especially the pool and jacuzzi which are so lovely. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to assist you, and the rooms are nice and spacious with sumptious comfortable beds."
