"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Really enjoyed our little overnighter here. Absolutely stunning building. Nice size room with high ceiling in gorgeous Tudor style. Bed comfy nice bedding. Read some bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Yes the carpet is a little old and the chair by the window but it’s all part of the charm. Large modern bathroom. Only negative was a little dust on the windowsills nothing to ruin a lovely comfy night sleep and lovely staff at check in too"

"I would recommend this property for a short stay. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The accommodation is great, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice with high quality toiletries provided. The leisure facilities are very good with a large pool and gym plus a steam room and sauna. Many of the people using the facilities were not staying in the hotel and it was quite busy at times. "We went for my fiancée's birthday. Coming from Birmingham, we are lucky to have such a beautiful, quiet and nature-filled place so close to us. The breakfast was open buffet and incredibly delicious. Afterwards we practiced golf and it is the perfect place for an enjoyable weekend."

"I stayed here on New Years Eve 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Stratford. On arrival at the hotel staff couldn’t find my booking; I showed them my confirmation having paid in full. They managed to give us a room, but not sure what would have happened if the hotel was fully booked? Our room was very dated, could do with some modernisation. But overall good value for money. "
