"Stayed in a standard double room overlooking Tower Bridge which the view was great. The room was very outdated and needed a bit more focus on the cleaning. No usb sockets and still old sockets for fax machines! The furniture was old wooden cupboards and the door to the one with the mini fridge was not quite on its hinge. The carpet, although vacuumed, could do with a clean and there were quite a number of lamps and surfaces with dust on. Walls we know become damaged which can't be helped but one...

"So the three stars are solely for the staff and good AC which is hard to come by, but in terms of the property - the high reviews are very misleading. My first room that I was given had no windows, a clogged sink, a broken shower head and the best part…an enormous image of a creepy doll as artwork over the closet staring at the bed. I did not book a room that had no windows or even atrium facing, but warning if you are choosing one of those rooms they are totally not worth the price at all you...

"We had a wonderful stay. Location was perfect, the staff were always friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good although very crowded already when they start at 7 during weekends. Rooms were cleaned very well and smell really good. Elevators work fast. There is a Tesco Express nearby."

"Expedia was a nightmare to deal with on this honeymoon trip. Our plans were disrupted by flight cancellations, which is understandable, but the Expedia Rep said we would receive a refund for the two nights that we were stranded. After we were charged the full amount, Expedia was nowhere to be found. We’ll never use them again!!"

"The room is basically a bed and a bathroom. No amenities, not even a wash cloth or a true hand towel (although there are towels and floor mats). I ended up using the floor mat as a wash cloth and asking for a second to use as a hand towel. No water glasses. Great blackout blinds."

"Great location, but the rooms are ridiculously small (check the Square footage). Unless you are traveling alone with only carry-on sized luggage and don't mind cramped spaces I would look elsewhere."
