"Actually I was staying in Carlton Hotel. Anyway, room was clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was excellent in helping and solving problems. Specially Jamal (maybe I'm spelling the name a bit wrong, but he is originally from Uzbekistan) who worked night shift. He is a very good man and he is a very good at his profession. "We had a room with balcony and sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. But overall the standard is high. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. A lift would be helpful"

"Wonderful Family Stay – Highly Recommend! We had a fantastic two-night family break at the Cumberland Hotel. We booked a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds, and used Tesco Clubcard points which was a great bonus. We arrived just before check-in, easily found parking, and were warmly welcomed. "Enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was within 5mins walking distance to the train station thus convenient & the station had many eateries & local supermarket Sainbury’s and Tesco. The room was very clean, slightly small but bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good with fresh eggs, bacon, sausages, yogurt, pastries and fruits. Thank you for the enjoyable stay. "
