"There are clearly different "tiers" for the rooms in this hotel. I felt that we were in a suite that probably shouldn't have been in rotation. Off in the back corner, lots of wear to the paint, faucets, dresser drawers, etc. It was clean, just aged and in need of some TLC. They had also clearly had a water leak in this wing as there were visible water marks on the hallway carpets and the overwhelming smell of air freshener attempting to mask the mildew smell. On the surface the room was nice. We did not have a view of the Tower Bridge at all, but as we really weren't in our room that much, we didn't consider it a huge priority. We likely could've moved rooms if we had asked, but the schedule of the move would've cut into our plans for the day too much so we didn't bother. There were marble floors in the bathroom, and a separate tub and shower. We only used the shower in the tub, but the faucet handle was completely missing so adjusting the temperature proved difficult to say the least. Complimentary mini bar was a bit of a nice surprise, but the selection was very limited. Coffee and tea were available too, and replenished daily. The mattress was quite hard, which worked for me, but my wife would've preferred something softer. Overall, the stay was just "fine", but given the status of the hotel, I expected more from oue stay. Pickier travellers would've complained about the room and moved I'm sure, but as mentioned, we were barely there so not a big deal for us."

"The hotel was in a very convenient location, close to everything from grocery stores to restaurants and transit, which made getting around incredibly easy. The staff were all lovely, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay. The room itself was quite spacious, especially considering the price and location, although the decor and furnishings did feel a little dated and tired. The breakfast was good and very convenient to have on-site each morning. One thing worth noting for North American travellers is that while the air conditioning worked well by European standards, it wasn’t as strong or cool as what you might expect in North America. Another small downside was the limited storage space. There was a closet, but no dressers or drawers to properly unpack clothing. Overall, I had a very good stay. As a solo traveller, I found the location excellent and felt incredibly safe throughout my time there, which made a huge difference to my overall experience. Between the convenient location, friendly staff, and good value for the space, I would definitely stay here again."

"Rooms were very clean. We had a windowless room and it was very quiet. I was concerned I would feel claustrophobic but it was a very comfortable room- no problems at all. Every staff member was pleasant and helpful. We stayed for 6 nights and never had a bad experience."
