"We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location within an easy walk of the Kings Cross/St. Pancras station, even with large travel suitcases. The room was nice, simple, clean. The breakfast and dinner were both fantastic. "

"This hotel was perfect for a mini break, I didn't plan to spend much time in the room itself and really just wanted a convenient place to sleep and shower while visiting the city. All the staff I spoke to were very friendly and ready to help. The hotel itself was very clean, I saw cleaners coming in everyday to replace towels, clean the bathroom, remake the bed, vacuum etc.Tea/instant coffee making facilities provided in the room. Even a table fan in the room which was a lifesaver since it was quite warm when I stayed.
Only downsides I would say are: Some wear and tear, the bottom of the bathroom door was quite worn and missing a hook and there was a small wallpaper tear behind the headboard and some wiring visible under the sink. For me these we're not big issues, as they did not greatly impact my stay. The room I stayed in was facing the street so definitely some noise night - again not a massive issue, I had some expectations of noise as the hotel is across the road from Kings Cross. You can hear people moving around the hotel at night, so if you are a light sleeper things may bother you. Again, not an issue for me personally and my goal was just to sleep after long days of sightseeing. Stairs to the rooms are quite steep and narrow so not so the upstairs rooms would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Overall, I really liked this hotel, close to transport links and food places, I would stay here again :)"
"Very well located for my purposes, near St Pancras and the British Museum, easy to walk down to Trafalgar Square etc. The super studio was big, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Staff helpful. Lovely quiet area, a big green square across the street with trees and tennis courts. Relatively low priced for London and for the size and quality of the room."
"Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, very minimal and well-designed room and comfortable bed. It would be nice if there was a small wardrobe. "
"The team at the Standard are what makes it a truly exceptional hotel. I was in London recently for a short visit and when my plans changed they were incredibly understanding and accommodating. Special acknowledgement goes to Nathan on the front desk for all of his work! "
"Very convenient to everything, ie transportation, pharmacy, food, clothing. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bed in superior individual room was wonderfully comfortable.
Liked all the tech outlets. Only issue was in the bathroom. Looked like rust or dirt around some of the floor attachments. Very busy hotel but they seemed to handle that well. Would love to stay there again."
