This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
Before arrival and after check-out, we asked about luggage storage and were bluntly told “no” both times, with no explanation or willingness to help. The front desk was run by an older man with an extremely poor and dismissive attitude. He barely responded to questions, avoided communication, and made us feel unwelcome and targeted, giving a strong impression of racial discrimination.
At check-in, no identity verification was done, which is deeply concerning in a city like London and suggests serious safety negligence.
Despite booking rooms advertised with a city view, we were assigned two basement rooms with no view at all — a clear case of misrepresentation. The rooms were freezing upon entry, smelled musty and moldy, and relied on old radiators that made the air extremely dry. The staircase to the basement was very steep and narrow, genuinely unsafe when carrying luggage.
Noise insulation was terrible, with loud footsteps from above throughout the stay. The rooms were also exceptionally small, making it difficult to move comfortably.
The most unacceptable part: we paid nearly £200 per night. At any time and under any reasonable standard, this price for such conditions, service, and safety issues is completely unjustifiable.
This property fails in service, honesty, comfort, and safety.
If you are staying in London, avoid this place — it will ruin your trip.
