"Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended
We had a wonderful stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi. From the moment we checked in until the day we checked out, the entire hotel team was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming.
What really stood out to us was the hospitality shown by everyone we encountered — from the bellboys and reception team to housekeeping, as well as the staff at the restaurant and bar. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, we had a great experience and truly felt well taken care of. Definitely worth the stay, and we would happily stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi again on our next visit to Hanoi."
"Great location near Hoan Kiem Lake. All of the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Guest information ordered Water Puppet Theatre tickets for us, which was great. Lovely breakfast with very friendly staff and good views of Hanoi. Freshly cooked pho was really nice. And the coffee with condensed milk. Great variety including other savoury dishes and dragon fruit. We checked in quite late in the evening and the guys on the late shift were great - at the front desk and with the luggage. Junior Suite was a good-sized room with some views."
"For first time visitors to Hà Nội, we did not appreciate how close and central the Solaria Hotel was to everything we wanted to see! Set right near Hoàn Kiếm Lake, it was walkable to nearby tourist highlights and souvenir destinations. However, the area comes alive on the weekend as the nearby streets are turned into a walking street, with vibrant nightlife and family-friendly options.
The buzzing sounds of the city were not unpleasant to wake up to, and we still felt rested in a comfortable bed with a clean room.
Hotel staff were immensely helpful, hardworking, and diligently attentive to our needs, providing helpful advice to first time (but definitely not last time!) visitors to Viet Nam, ensuring we were contacted in advance, helping us to avoid scam taxis by arranging airport transfers for a very low fee, and keeping the room tidy and comfortable in the August heat.
We loved our stay and we will be recommending to family and friends to stay here if they’re ever in Hà Nội too."
"Was extremely clean and everyone was extremely helpful! Great location and views, both from the balcony room and dinning area/rooftop. Would love to go back!"
"We had a wonderful stay with very friendly staff, the room was lovely and clean. We all had a massage and it was wonderful after a day in busy Hanoi! The staff were very accommodating/ our only issue was that when it rained heavily, it came through the light switch but we had a lovely stay."
