"Overall, the stay was disappointing. On the positive side, the onsen was lovely and the attendant on the ladies side was very helpful. That said, nothing is available until 3 and you have to rush to make an on-site reservation for the open air area after 3 (there was not an option to reserve prior to 3). The front desk staff provided inconsistent information on check in and was initially unhelpful in storing luggage that did not fit in the automated storage machine. Bottom line, do not arrive...

"The main areas (lobby, hallways, restaurants) were nice enough and clean however our room was not at all what we would have expected for $400/night CAD. The entire hotel was dated and is in need of updating but our room was particularly in bad shape. The air conditioning didn’t work well and we had little control over it. "Room was spacious and clean, they give you a bag when you check in and you grab all the amenities you need. Near Yamanakako and bus station barely a 2 min walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well! For foreigners they have qr codes of videos of how to set up a futon and how to eat Chazuke for breakfast which I found very helpful!"
