Close enough to Manhattan if you wanted to head over for tourist stuff. I do lots of work in Long Island City when I travel so for me staying at a hotel here is the best option. Lots of good food close buy without the Manhattan prices too.

This is basically Queens and there is lots to do and the best Greek food to be found in NYC.
"I wanted my daughter’s first trip to NYC to be memorable - and that included where we stayed - so The New Yorker was perfect! It was just what we had hoped for - a piece of history but with all the modern conveniences!
It was also a short walk from the train station when we arrived, we were able to check in easily and felt safe the entire time!
We walked to many attractions and even caught some Ubers very easily!
