We recently stayed at Park Central Hotel. When we arrived for check in, the employee at the front desk told me that they “upgraded” us to a different location. I asked what this upgrade is, as we specifically booked this hotel for its location. He informed me that we had been “upgraded” to Margaritaville in Times Square. I explained that this isn’t an upgrade and we don’t want to be moved, as we booked this hotel for a reason. He then went to get a manager that had a negative attitude the second she started talking to us. Basically saying we move to Margaritaville or we don’t have a room. No apologies, no sense of caring whatsoever. We explained that we booked months ago, and it wasn’t our fault if they overbooked the hotel. The manager then went on to blame it on reservations and that they randomly pick guests to be relocated. I then asked her for the phone number for reservations so I could touch base with them. She wouldn’t give it to me and told me to look it up online. Then begrudgingly handed me a business card with the information after I pointed out how rude she was acting. Waited on hold for reservations for awhile. In the meantime we asked if there are any rooms available. Even if they don’t have a room with two double beds, like we booked. The manager said they only have king rooms available. So we said fine, we will take it and just make it work. She then said they no longer had king rooms available either.
