"Clean hotel located within steps of three major train stations. Would recommend, especially if you have an early train to Scotland or France. Several pubs and restaurants within an easy walking distance, including a Pret and a Starbuck’s right across the street. About a 15 minute walk to the British Museum."

"Such a reliably great place to stay at, in an amazing neighborhood, close to the British Museum, the West End, and just around the corner from the Russell Square Piccadilly Line. That's always most helpful, when getting back to Terminal 2 at Heathrow."

"I was deeply disappointed with my 3 night stay at St Pancras. After spending the equivalent of 2 mortgage payments, I was really hoping to treat myself to a unique, luxurious experience. Unfortunately I was placed in a room overlooking an empty event space. Even with its lights glaring into my room 24/7, it was still very dark and gloomy. My room received no daylight, I couldn't see outside. I felt shunned, like I was staying in a basement. If I wanted to sleep in a basement I could have stayed...

"The Standard has been a hotel I've wanted to stay in for a number of years so when a work trip came up and I had the opportunity to stay, I was thrilled. It's clear why so many people love this hotel and return time and time again, while I really enjoyed my time here, there were a couple of things which stopped this from being a five-star stay. On check-in, I was prompted to pay again despite paying in advance, the receptionist eventually realised this but there was a lack of attention to detail...

"Our room at The Gyle was the perfect hideaway for a combination business-and-tourism stay in London. Super-convenient, comfortable and quiet. Our "large king" was compact by American standards but made good use of every inch. The staff are just lovely and super-helpful, and the little lounge with snacks and coffee is a wonderful spot to hang out even if you don't get breakfast."

"Possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever had – avoid!
I paid £151.20 for one night at The Rokxy Townhouse, King's Cross, and can genuinely say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I can remember.
The so-called "Economy Single Room, Ensuite, Garden View" was extraordinarily cramped, dated and poorly presented. The bed occupied almost the entire room, the entrance door was practically at the foot of the bed, and an ironing board was awkwardly mounted on the wall. The whole arrangement...
