"I wanted to find a hotel with a car park close to station for London. This hotel fitted perfectly. The young lady at reception was wonderful, taking account of my poor hearing. She took me out into the street to explain the 5 minute walk to Ilford Elizabeth Line station. Personally, I had no complaints with this hotel. I should add though that my partner found the other residents were noisy during the night. Sometimes having poor hearing is a blessing. I do recommend the Britannia Hotel."

" I had a mostly good experience at this hotel. The location is excellent – it’s very convenient for both train and bus access, and there are plenty of food options nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are a few things that could be improved. In my room, there was no bedside lamp, so I had to turn on the main light for the entire room, which wasn’t ideal. "Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpfull. Family room small but adequate and it was well maintained. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and was good. There was no parking at this hotel but was provided with parking just round the corner at their sister hotel. On the whole a nice hotel that I would definitely stay at again if in the area. "

"The hotel is great. Perfect location to visit Stratford and London Stadium. The only negative is that the beds aren’t overly comfortable and you seem to only get one pillow. I slept on my duvet as it was large enough to be folded and cover me too"

"A bizarre experience… Wasn’t able to actually stay at this property as I never received check-in instructions from the host. Unfortunately the host read and ignored my messages and emails as well as communications from the property manager (they weren’t much help either), for reasons unknown. Luckily hotels.com stepped in and gave me a full refund + a voucher for compensation."

"Appeared family friendly - saw a few families at the hotel. Had a twin room and smaller bed was a little hard (but some people may prefer that). Staff very friendly Lots of plug sockets to cater for all electrical needs. Not too far from shopping area and 2 different subway stations, with bus stops directly outside the hotel as well. "

"Fantastic stay for MCM Comic Con at the Excel centre. The family that run the pub as well as the hotel are lovely and so friendly, the room was cosey but perfect for our stay. We usually put a do not disturb sign on when we're staying for a few nights, as we are happy to use towels for a few days and think about the eco impact of having your room cleaned everyday.
