"The hotel was clean, the room well equipped and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The only criticism we had was the food in the restaurant, whilst very nice, was not the fine dining experience we were hoping for. The menu, which includes burgers and fish & chips, didn’t reflect the surroundings of the dining room."

"The property really needs some maintenance to it.
Very dated all round.
Champneys used to hold a high standard name as a spa hotel but over the years it’s really lost its touch.
Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa facilities. Was in the spa for 2ish hours and not a single member of staff cleaning anything. Mainly the floors which were full of grit/hair/dirt.
Edging of pool areas have algae.
Really just needs a deep clean.
We didn’t stay for dinner however we had breakfast...

"Had to move rooms once as no TV
2nd room, wrapper found in room on radiator so unconvinced on level of clean.
No headboard on the bed so sat up against the wall with the one pillow available
Earliest breakfast 08:00 so despite paying with the booking was unable to get food before having to leave for work. "

"The mattress was heavily mouldy and in a very poor condition. The air in the room was terrible, with a strong and unpleasant smell. On top of that, the staff were unfriendly and not polite at all. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place."
