"Been several years since I last stayed here. It is in a beautiful rural hamlet only 20 mins from Welwyn Garden City. It is a very quaint place to stay that is dog friendly. The staff are also great. I didn’t realise the bar closed at 8pm on a Monday and the menu was very limited for me as a gluten free diner. I had to have dinner between 6 and 7 ish. I ordered the soup that was delicious with GF bread. Then my only choice was ham and chips with eggs that catered to my GF needs. This...

"The building itself is beautiful. The bed was very comfy. Tea and coffee packs and a kettle available. Plenty of hot water. Quiet surroundings. We walked around the gardens and then walked to the local pub which is in easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices served buffet style. Park and ride into Cambridge is available just up the road and property is very close to the American Cemetery."

Mia at the front desk was particularly helpful & super lovely, as was the restaurant manager. We felt so incredibly welcome and well looked after throughout our stay, despite having some issues with our booking through Expedia. "This is lovely hotel in the heart of Wendover. Lots of character. Our room was very well equipped, very comfy bed, hanging space and drawers, small fridge with complimentary milk and bottle of water, and even complimentary sloe gin! The bathroom was clean and shower was great. The room was quite warm but a fan was provided.
