"Arrived at property and check in went smoothly. Staff was responsive. Room was warm and messaged staff about air. Got response on how to turn it on yet there was no remote for split system so they told us to turn on the fan. My issue is they knew there was no remote and air wasn’t working bc they put a fan in the room. We opened the windows for circulation but there is a bar underneath the room and people were loud and smoking until 2-3 am. Very disappointed in air issue. If you are staying now...

"Ugh got the 1st floor - traveling solo I always try to avoid for safety. But they were full - claimed I was upgraded to bigger room - I would have rather kept my single small one up higher. But worse - the first floor is a dark like a basement. The windows are darkly frosted so no view no light no idea weather outside let alone natural light. may as well not had any windows. "The hotel is beautiful and the decor is as far from bland as you can get. You really know you’re in Venice in this hotel. The best thing about staying at this hotel is the location - very quiet but only a 3 minute walk from loads of great bars and restaurants. The Cannaregio area is so lovely and feels far away from the heaving tourist heart of Venice, even though it’s only about 25 minutes walk away. The hotel also runs a shuttle boat 2/3 times in the morning, returning early evening. €8 pp....

"Easy journey to Marco Polo airport from the Carnival hotel on the Aliaguna water bus to Guglie a short walk from the hotel. Lots of good restaurants and aperitif places on the canal outside the hotel. Easy access to all the main sites from Tri Archi vaporetto stop outside the hotel. Much cheaper to get a two or three or more days, water bus pass for as many journeys that you want to take each day. Good safe local neighbourhood to wander about including evenings."
