"It was just so-so. The Pros: great location
The Cons: Staff didn’t offer to carry our bags up to our room (we were on the top floor, yes, I knew there were lots of stairs) but, after a very long day of travel & lugging our bags across Venice, being hot and exhausted, I would have thought that would have been offered, especially since we were on the top floor. Didn’t even offer us a bottle of water at check in.

"We loved this hotel! We were greeted at the door by Giovanni who had us sit down immediately and brought us water and espresso. Our room was ready early and it was so charming! We were given great restaurant recommendations too. The AC was a treat, the towels were so soft, and the bed was comfortable. After checkout we were able to leave our bags until heading to the train. Can’t recommend enough!"

"The room was very big, had a mini fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also large. We were to have a shared washroom, but the other room was empty so we lucked out with it all to ourselves. There were stairs to get up to the room, but it was wide and had a few landings, not just a big straight up flight. Venice has many little staircases everywhere, so visitors should get used to it, or pack lighter. Google Maps gave good directions right to the building. We just walked from the train...

"Finding the place was hard because it is hidden in between tight walls. We eventually found it. Staff is nice. Shower is small as expected but had plenty of hot water. They provided free tea and coffee in the room with biscuits. The decorations (bed sheets, curtains) could use updating as it reminded us of the 60s. 20 min walk to the Venezia S Lucia train station, 15 min walk to St Mark's Square. Overall decent hotel."

"The best things about the apartments are firstly, the incredible service from Andrea and her team. They could not be more helpful and friendly- they really make your stay special. Secondly, the location is absolutely perfect. Having never been to Venice before, we really lucked out booking this place. Being so close to Rialto bridge so you can access other parts of Venice, with a Vaporetta stop on your doorstep, and yet it felt quiet and peaceful as well. The apartment was very well equipped....

"This is not really close to anything, so be prepared to walk for at least 15 minutes (not including the 4 flights of stairs) to get anywhere. It is an old Venice property, so it is a little musty, though they have decorated the rooms well. The view out of the room is a courtyard, not a canal. When someone flushes, it will be heard throughout the building. Breakfast was functional. Staff was very helpful - Barbara can definitely plan your day!"

"This place is a self check in which means we either had to send the hotel copies of our passports through the What’s app or go to a different location to check in. We didn’t feel comfortable sending passports
In What’s app so we went to another hotel to check in. The water taxi was $170 then we had to walk over 2 bridges with 2 large pieces of luggage, 2 backpacks & a carryon. We couldn’t even make it to the 2nd bridge because the streets were so crowded therefore we ordered another water taxi...
