"2 out of 3 ice machines didn't work in our building. Ice cream and ice milk in the buffet were sour. Food in buffet was average at best.All soft drinks in restaurants were flat and stale. "We have stayed at this property multiple times over the years and this time we noticed the property has not been maintained well . The pool deck and lounge chairs definitely need attention. The prices have become ridiculous - $18 dollar drinks are higher than Las Vegas prices. The service was very good as always. Adrian the pool guy was great! "

"Mahekal is a beautiful resort. The lush foliage and palapa “cabins” make you feel like you’re a million miles away from everything, but it’s very convenient to great restaurants. It was peaceful and serene. The staff are all amazing, especially Meraz, Claudia and Jesus Brito in the Revive Spa. The hammocks in the balcony are just an added bonus.
