Let’s start with the room service. We had to ask for towels at least 4 times during our 1 week stay. Towels were old, raggedy and literally falling apart. They didn’t stock our mini feodge daily and our amenities were never restocked (aside from the shampoo and body wash).
Anytime we had a question we had to go to the client service center and they tried to sell us a timeshare EVERY TIME.
In order or have dinner at one of the restaurants, other than the buffet, you had to make reservations at most 72 hours in advance, in person at the service center. You couldn’t just call or make them for the entire stay (which in our case was only 1 week).
Food and drinks were mostly bad. I got food poisoning the 2nd night there. So did 2 other people in my party. The pharmacy at the resort charged 9 times more than the normal cost for medication. The same meds I bought in the resort for $500 mxps I bought for $60 mxps outside the resort.
All pools closed at 8 pm and the towel and activities center closed 6pm.
We witnessed a lot of clients complaining, on a daily basis, for the same and other reasons.
During our stay, there was a child accident at the children’s pool that did not have a life guard on duty and staff escalated the situation by fighting with one of the child’s family members. Further there was not first aid administered by the resort. Two tourists rendered aid to the child.
On a positive note, most of the staff and servers were friendly and polite.
