The room was good enough and staff was very friendly and helpful. They even let us check-in earlier than the actual check-in time. The location of the hotel was perfect. However, if the pool were bigger and cleaner, it would have been even more spectacular!

Location is perfect, half block to one block from sea, beach, ferry, bus station. Garden is lovely, and the pool is cool and relaxing. Little cenote with turtles in the courtyard. Staff is the absolute best. Very helpful and friendly. Super clean, too.

See my earlier review. I love this hotel so much that I returned 5 days after checkout to finish the rest of my trip here. The best things are the beautiful courtyard/pool area and the great staff, especially the wonderful housekeeper who kept my room shining and clean. I wish I could remember her name. I'll be back!

This boutique hotel is half a block from the beach and half a block from Quinta Avenida which is a lively walkable street, full of shops and restaurants. The street is pedestrian only and it has a lot of action. In the hotel we received an excellent service from Nellye and Lizzy at the reception. They were very helpful to us. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great location. Great little hotel.

We would happily stay again. The hotel was half a block from the beach and half a block from the main tourist strip of 5th avenue (but wasn’t in the middle of the strip noise wasn’t a real issue here). It was a block from the ADO bus station. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the hotel was clean and it does have a lift access to upper floors.

This was the most amazing location!! A few steps to the beach one way and a few steps to 5th Avenue the other way. I loved being so close to everything yet tucked away on a side street where it was much quieter. Inside the hotel is like a private oasis with a pool and so many trees! Just gorgeous!!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The plusses: great location, lovely property, remarkably quiet, good air conditioning, very nice shower, clean room, in room safe, friendly / helpful staff. Minus-just one. My GOODNESS the bed was hard!! Half a block walk to the beach, same to the pedestrian street full of shops, restaurants and street performers. Bonus, one evening we got back and found a large family of raccoons who may have lived in the cenote on the grounds. Very cool.

A lovely stay. Just off 5th ave but nice and quiet with the beach 100 yards off at the other end of the street. Large, clean room. FYI the hotel details say that it does not have an elevator but it does have one. Wi-Fi a little inconsistent and worth noting if that is very important to you.

Great location, spotless room and grounds, friendly staff. Just steps from my favorite restaurant. Since we have stayed here before, we expected a light breakfast to be included with or room rate as in the past. This is no longer the case. A few days they started offering fruit and coffee for 180 pesos per person. Way too much. All in all I would definitely stay here again.

It was a good location close to 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen. No beach, rooftop has 1 small table and 2 chairs and absolutely no shade. Room was clean. Now the downsides, bed was hard as a rock, noise from next door where you could hear every word said! Bathrooms need an upgrade badly. Television set on Spanish only. Also outside by the small pool which I saw no one use, there were only 2 beach chairs. So after 1 night we contacted Expedia and they were very accommodating and we were able to move to another place the next day.

An adorable oasis just steps from everything

This hotel is an adorable oasis just steps from the beach, Avenida 5, ferry to Cozumel, and tourist bus station. They offered filtered water in the room—with the ability to refill on your own from the cafeteria area in the middle of the courtyard. The cafeteria is a bit of a misnomer—it is a cafeteria for the staff—though guests can sit there under the shade to use the WiFi and enjoy the view of the lovely cenote and park-like grounds. A small fish-shaped pool offers a cooling respite. The roof deck has a gorgeous view of the sea—though the broken chaise lounge chair needs to be replaced. My only complaint would be the noise at night. I had hoped based on reviews that it would not be loud. Karen’s, around the corner, on Avenida 5, starts a live band at 8 that ends at midnight. Even with the doors closed and AC on, it felt as if we were actually inside the restaurant. In the end, it did not put a damper on our trip as the music finished promptly at midnight (at least when we were there), so it did not disturb our sleep. For anyone looking for a moderately-price accommodation perfectly situated to public transportation, nightlife, and the beach, look no further than Hotel Posada Sian Ka’an.

The hotel has a classic appearance, and considering how near it is to 5th Avenue it was remarkably quiet (not silent, but not loud either). Room was clean and comfortable, the staff very kind. Cool oceanic water feature in the courtyard, and a nice small pool (we didn't have time to enjoy it ourselves). Close to lots of dining options, and s half block from 5th Ave. If we were going to spend more time in Playa del Carmen, we would definitely choose this hotel.
