"We stayed in a windowless room that was extremely small, in fact you could barely walk around the bed and was tight for 2 adults. The room was supposed to be air conditioned however it did not work, the hotel offered to change our room on day 2 however the a/c did not work in the second room. When we contacted the reception they were not able to offer us anything further as the hotel was fully booked. We asked for a fan and they were not able to provide one, we looked at leaving the hotel but...

"Loved this hotel! The location is just a block away from the HayMarket train station. The property is lovely, and the staff are very friendly. Our room was large and very comfortable. There is even a large selection of games in the lobby for the guests to use!"

"Want hostel sized living spaces but hotel prices? So small it was almost a humiliation ritual- you didn't have room to open your suitcase then walk past it to the bathroom. Bathroom smelled like mold, and you had to cut your own key when you arrived?
They should have a self-enforced price cap on this place so they're not putting people through peak pricing for this abomination of a hospitality experience.
Just because you can make the smallest room physically possible doesn't mean you should....

"Overall, this place is an OK stay. The room is nice. We had the English basement so we had a window with a partial sidewalk view. The room is small. Hot water is intermittent. This end of town is a bit far from most of the popular areas. All in all is was fine, but I wouldn’t stay here on another visit."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, clean and water hot in the shower. Very good breakfast was included.
Easy 25 minute leisurely stroll to Edinburgh Castle through a nice neighbourhood.
The Haymarket train, bus & tram station was 5 minute walk to this guest house. We arrived via train from Glasgow. At the end of our trip we took the Tram to the airport. So this is in a convenient location for getting around. Lots of restaurants and 2 pubs near the train station.
