"The location is wonderful, ideally situated near both Princes st and the Royal mile with a view of Edinburgh castle straight up. I regret not taking advantage of the free breakfast until we were leaving. Our room was a castle view room with elevator access which was paramount as I knew I'd be walking everywhere on a very bad knee. "I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. "The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We loved the decor which made us feel at home. It was a joy to come “home” to the apartment each night. The towels were large and fluffy and didn’t feel like typical hotel towels.
We ran out of toilet paper and tissues and a staff member brought them to our room. It would be nice to have extras already in the room. The bathroom garbage pail could have been larger and got full rather quickly.
