"Our triple room on the fourth floor was perfectly adequate, with great views of the Water of Leith. As this is an old, historic building, it took a bit to regulate the water temperature in the shower and some surfaces are a bit worn, but that’s to be expected. Liked the breakfast choices, and the staff is both friendly and professional. Since the clientele was of a more “mature” set, the whole place was quiet—easy to get a good night’s sleep. "We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, clean and water hot in the shower. Very good breakfast was included.
Easy 25 minute leisurely stroll to Edinburgh Castle through a nice neighbourhood.
The Haymarket train, bus & tram station was 5 minute walk to this guest house. We arrived via train from Glasgow. At the end of our trip we took the Tram to the airport. So this is in a convenient location for getting around. Lots of restaurants and 2 pubs near the train station.

"Place was gorgeous, modern, convenient, clean. Though listed as for 4 people, it was a bit awkward for 4 people: bathroom en suite to one room, so those on beds (pull-outs) in front room had to walk through the other room to the bathroom. And because light switches for bathroom are outside, anyone sleeping gets light in their eyes until the door is closed. And using the kitchenette was disturbing to those sleeping in front room. Would have liked a full size coffee maker as the nespresso...

"One of the worst hotels I've ever booked. We received check in instructions via email while we were on our flight to Edinburgh. Upon arrival we had no idea how to get into the building. We tried calling with no success (although this was probably user error given I've never tried calling an international number). Other guests finally came out, let us into the building and told us to check our email for the checkin instructions. We were in a room on the 2nd floor and had to lug our bags up 4 or...
