Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing hotel, lovely rooms, great staff, perfect location. Absolutely faultless!"

Aloft by Marriott Kuala Lumpur Sentral

10/10 Excellent

"Great facilities, clean rooms with interesting layout, friendly and helpful staff! I really appreciated that the staff helped with luggage (even up to the station when I needed to take the express for my flight). I also enjoyed the hotel’s closeness to the subway line for easier access to the city. The pool was a little small but I didn’t end up using it due to the smoke. The room was nice but I think what tips the scale is the friendly service. I would definitely stay here again :)"

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

10/10 Excellent

"Arriving at the hotel on its own was a whole experience. The staff welcomes you and takes your luggage up to the reception area which is actually on the 38th floor I believe! This amazed me! You get perfect view of the Twin Towers with a full 360 glass view of the city if im not exaggerating. The check in process was quick which I loved as I was a bit tired on arrival. I chose a garden view and that was also amazing. The room was well maintained, clean and the bed well tucked which is a deal breaker for me. I took a hot shower and was able to lay on my bed with a view of sky scrape buildings views at night. In the day I had a beautiful view of the garden view below. The hotel is almost connected with just a walk over from hotel exit onto the entrance of the sky walk way to the Mall and KL building so I got to explore on my own with just about a 6-10 min walk across the Sky walk to the pavilion. The breakfast was a whole experience as well. It had several live stations with Indian and western breakfast options. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I traveled solo and I did not feel alone. It is especially convient of its location if you want to be able to explore as a solo traveler within walking reach. The staff also helped me with a tour to be able to see a few must see sights with a save driver. My only bad review is I messaged twice through expedia for hotel shuttle information and did not get a response compared to other hotels quick responses via expedia."

Furama Bukit Bintang

10/10 Excellent

"We booked an executive room for my dad and I. The exec lounge and breakfast option is fantastic. Our first room did not meet our needs or expectations- it had a strong mould smell and poor shower. Upon speaking to management we were moved to room 1610 which was fantastic. Our room was well looked after had all the amenities you would need and the daily breakfast was great. All the staff was super attentive and really tried to help us be comfortable throughout our stay. Pros- location is great- easy for grabs and easy access to Bukit Bintang main area without all the mess. Executive breakfast is great. Great overhead shower. Amazing attentive staff. Great internet. Cons- some rooms older and maybe due for updating soon. Tv channels are very limited and tiny baby tvs! We’ve been to Malaysia 22 times and this is going to be my new go to KL hotel. For the price point and location you won’t get better."

Frequently asked questions

What is Tropicana like for travellers on a budget?

Explore cheap places to stay in Tropicana on Expedia.com and book a trip that stays within your budget. You can look through a wide range of hotels and other types of accommodation with Member Prices to find the best deal for you and earn rewards. Guided by our site's handy page filters, you can limit results by price per night, or by popular amenities like free breakfast and a swimming pool. If you're interested in affordable options near specific attractions, such as Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, try filtering by location to refine your search. While you browse, use the heart button to keep track of your favourites so that it's easy to find them and make your final decision. Need a car or a flight too? Take a look at the Bundle and Save travel packages and discover more amazing deals when you arrange your transport at the same time.

What is there to see and do in Tropicana?

You don't need to spend a lot to find things to see and do in Tropicana. You can budget for the local attractions that interest you most, and then make time for sights and activities that cost little or nothing at all. Take in the local culture at Petronas Philharmonic Hall and Petrosains Science Discovery Centre, or enjoy the area's natural beauty at KLCC Park.

How can I get to Tropicana and get around on a budget?

Scoping out the transportation options in Tropicana is a smart way to keep your trip affordable. The closest airport is 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from the centre in Subang (SZB-Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah). However, if that doesn't suit your budget, you can look into flights to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), which is 27.6 mi (44.4 km) away. Tropicana may not have many public transport options to choose from so a car rental could be a reasonable alternative to see more of the area.
