"Our stay at Bluedaws was really lovely. On arrival we were immediately welcomed very warmly by the staff and helped to get our suitcases up the stairs to our room.
Breakfast was good! We were immediately given a glass of orange juice each and offered some coffee, and it was good coffee too. Simple fare of toast, eggs and bacon with jams and butter. There was cereal available too but the rest is already quite filling so we personally didn't even try anything but the aforementioned items. We arrived a little early one morning and it was no trouble to serve us, and it was done in record time which we were very grateful for as we were on our way out to a tour. Thank you to the friendly chef!
The rooms are cosy; the one we stayed in had three beds, a side table with a kettle and coffee bits, and not much else. You share bathrooms that are located at either end of the hall, which takes some getting used to but they are kept so nice and clean that you don't even feel like you're sharing. The bedding was a little frayed, but clean and comfortable.
I have to mention that this hotel is marvellously close to Paddington station and it makes getting around London so easy. I also recommend a walk through Hyde Park which isn't far away. There are a few restaurants nearby so if you want to go out for dinner nearby, you don't have to wander far.
All in all, good value for money; we will happily come back on a return to London. Thank you!"
