Handy but nothing fancy

Slightly confused on arrival, the main door is locked and gives the impression that the hotel is closed, but you have to enter through the door on the left. Staff were friendly and polite. The room was nothing fancy and looked slightly shabbier than in the photos, but was generally fine and comfortable enough for an overnight stay, although the chair was very flimsy and I had to fold the single pillow in half. Very handy for the tube, and cheap enough (if that's what £85 is these days).

The staff were very welcoming and kind. The bed felt clean and very comfortable to sleep in so for the price it was fair in this capacity. However the overall state of the hotel was rather run down and did not feel safe. There was general dirt and damages around the room for example the windows safety latch was broken and being on a ground floor this was concerning as anyone could climb in. Thus we had to sleep with the windows closed all night in a heat wave which wasn’t pleasant. It is fine for a night or two considering the price but personally would not stay again

My previous visits were really very good. This was my third visit over the last 2 months and it didn't live uptp expectations. The room was not quite clean, the fans are dusty. The shelves are dusty too. Also, the soap containers were filled with water.

Good Conveniently sited hotel

This is a brand new hotel. I was made very welcome at reception and shown to my room which was very comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently situated three minutes walk from Ilford Town Centre and station. Ideal if working in East / Central London. Recommended

My partner and I stayed in Room 23 on the 25th October and the conditions we encountered were completely unacceptable and fell far below any reasonable standard expected of any hotel. Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed multiple serious issues, including: A used razor left in the bathroom cupboard. The bathroom cupboard covered in mould and grime. A strong smell of cigarette smokethroughout the room. A brown pellet-like substance left in the bathroom sink. Suggestive handprints visible on the bathroom mirror. Writing on the walls. Chewing gum stuck to the wardrobe. A window that was not properly sealed, allowing cold air to enter. A heater that emitted a burning smellwhen turned on, making it unsafe to use and meaning the room had to be extremely cold due to the window, or risk a fire. Green-brown stains running down the radiator. We have attached photographic evidence of the above issues. These conditions not only made our stay deeply unpleasant but also raised serious health and safety concerns. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned, inspected, or maintained prior to our arrival. We attempted to report this to a member of staff, however there were none to be found. We also sent a formal complaint to OYO the next day and have received no respond whatsoever. I would pay *not* to stay here again.
