"\the staff were universally helpful, especially at breakfast. the cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was good. I did not find the restaurant for other meals suited my taste but that is an individual matter. There were not enough vegetables for my liking. My first room was hard for me to navigate but I was moved to a very satisfactory one.
The car park and the lift were selling points for me initially but I have become comfortable there, so will be back, barring accidents."

"The building is gorgeous, the room spacious and so comfortable, but the staff is the standout here. Cheerful, helpful, and so accommodating. They made the trip for us.
The breakfast is amazing - enough to carry you through lunch and beyond.
The hotel is a wee bit off the beaten track if you’re wishing to be on the Royal Mile every day, but the local bus service is excellent and you are in the midst of everything within 15-20 minutes.
Thank you for everything. It was a treat."

"Everything was great about the hotel - location, the look and feel, was comfortable, reasonably priced and lived you could get hassle free late checkout at an honest price.
However, two things really aggravated me. 1. The gentleman that checked me in was silently rude and unfriendly, I had just come of a long flight and train ride to him making me feel like I have inconvenienced me.
Secondly, I was in a building that was 2 houses away being a solo female there was no guidance to help usher me...

"A friendly and clean hotel however not that good for a disability challenged person. There is no lift and no ramp. The stairs inside are narrow and winding with a small handrail especially to the basement where breakfast is served. Breakfast was not included but at £12 for a continental breakfast was worth it given the amount of choice. The room we stayed in was called Highgate on the first floor ( not good with heavy cases) but it was a reasonably good size and comfortable bed.The bathroom had...

"There’s only one older gentleman that we found helpful his name is Alassdaier. Aside from that no smiling faces at the front desk. The room was filthy. Carpets stained, shower hadn’t been scrubbed and cleaned properly. Black stains on shower stall. Towels are dingy. Coverlet removed and stained decorative pillows. Nobody had bothered to vacuum the room and when we arrived there was popcorn on the floor that remained until we left. Bed was hard and uncomfortable and pillows essentially flat....

"Super clean and well decorated! Bed was comfy and the mini kitchen had exactly what we needed. We have quite a few bags since we’re traveling around for a while but were able to take out what we needed for three days and store the rest under the bed which was great. Great view from our room and great location."

"Everything about the hotel is excellent. Room, location, cleanliness. We just had a really rough check in. We had asked for an early check in months prior, and were told they would do everything to accommodate us. We arrived at 8:00am and weren’t given our room until 2:30. Checkout isn’t until 11, so expected 12 the latest. We were not given a time window and basically ignored in the beautiful lobby."
