"kids love the pool and the beds.. also the soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner provided. the only negative was no microwave on our room and there’s water mark on the carpet that seems like a bit old building. But overall, it’s a nice hotel "

"We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Hollywood Bowl shuttle stop. Check-in was easy, staff was friendly, room was spacious and clean, nice area with restaurants within walking distance. Parking was an extra $22 in the adjacent garage. We were disappointed that our fridge was not getting cold enough, but someone came and changed it out right away. Overall a great stay. "

"Freehand is wonderful! This was our third time staying at Freehand LA. It is in such a great location—very walkable and close to everything! You are downtown yet don’t feel “smothered” in the super busy areas. Our favorite part is the hotel rooftop, where there is a restaurant, great bar and very relaxing pool area (this is called the Broken Shaker). We arrived early and even though our room wasn’t ready, we could safely leave our bags and still use the amenities such as the gym and rooftop. The hotel is in an older building but the renovations and decor give it a nice clean, modern feeling where its charm can be appreciated from both aspects. Thank you for a wonderful experience! "
