"The house was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently located right off the 101, and we thought highway noise might be a problem, but it wasn't. The parking spots are narrow but we managed just fine. Marx is very accommodating and the one night all the spots were taken, there was a permit for us to use to park on the street. "I really hit the jackpot when I selected this property. I was greeted and warmly welcomed at the door by host Rena who showed me around. Her motherly spirit was evident in the care she put into the unit. From extra towels, to water and orange juice in the fridge and cookies, apples, and flowers on the dining table. "We had a very nice 6-day stay here. Great hosts, great hospitality. Wish we took a picture of our breakfasts--very tasty and healthy. Plenty of places to sit outside, which was nice in the morning, but the Valley does get very hot at night in the summer. Thought there would be more road noise from Oxnard, but wasn't bad. "This property is beyond any expectation. The estate is situated high on a hill and you can see a birds eye view all across the LA area depending on where you stand. It has the romance of old Hollywood’s silent film era coupled with modern amenities and comforting elegant design. The pool was particularly delightful. We will be back again!"
