Empire Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Had a great stay here. Would def stay again. Super convenient to shops, the park, subways, and restaurants. And of course the opera house, where we saw ABT's Swan Lake. Beautiful! Pool is small and tucked away on a small platform with maybe a dozen loungers, only half of which were in the sun, and all but one of which had been "claimed" when we got there in the afternoon. If more loungers could be installed nearby that might nice to help expand the sun area. Only other note was that there wasn't anywhere to hang towels in the bathroom once used. If 2-4 hook could be installed behind the door, that would alleviate needing to find creative places to drape them in the room."
Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Upper East Side
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent find on the Upper East Side!
Quiet and very quaint hotel: The rooms are clean and very well kept and the staff is very courteous and helpful. "
"The hotel reminds me of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining with the old carpet, elevator and accents. That being said, the room and bathroom are charming on their own.
During our stay, our AC unfortunately broke down at 11:30 PM. The staff happily moved us from 3rd to 10th flr and it was the best room!!! It had 2 windows and more real estate.
Staff were excellent. The neighborhood is so quiet and a perfect mix of tourists and locals.
Food from Nice Matin was delicious (get the package if you can).
i would rebook this hotel again next time I’m in NYC. "
"This is a prime location for exploring NYC. Right at Times Square and super close to a subway station. Many great food options conveniently right outside the front door. The lobby is beautiful and the staff were some of the nicest folks I’ve ever encountered anywhere. Highly recommend. "
"Awesome location, super helpful and upbeat staff, amazing view of cathedral and nice clean rooms. Oh also loved the courtyard area. Overall fabulous experience!"
Offering a welcome break from the lights and buzz of the Manhattan concrete jungle, this park is a much loved spot to rest weary feet, stroll and enjoy a picnic.
