"CK Hotel is an excellent budget option in Malacca. The hotel and room were very clean, a short 8 minutes to the historical center, and a 15 min Grab/taxi to the bus terminal for only 7rm. There was a filter water station on every floor which was very convenient. Would stay again without hesitation. "

Grab is cheap in Melaka so not a worry. Most places accessible within 2km distance. Chef Heng about 70 away serves nice dim sum and breakfast. "
