"Really enjoyed our stay there. Unfortunately the lift was out of order but the staff were really helpful in bringing our cases up and down the stairs! Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was great. Would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to other friends and family. Interesting historical background too."

"Not worth £150/night. My room had dirty carpet and there were black hair on the bathroom floor when I arrived. One day my room was not cleaned after I came back from the town 15.30. Swimming pool very small for so big hotel. Over all not clean and too expensive."

"Pretty basic but in keeping for this price point. Room could have done with a bit more detailing, fair bit of dirt and grime in the room where I stayed. Breakfast was very basic and not even hot eggs of any description. Convenetiently located however a few minutes from the tram stop. Staff were friendly enough."

"one of the best hotel room, i have ever stayed. the lobby is nice, the room is huge and even nicer. they refill the water, but towards the end of our stay, they no longer refill the snack. otherwise the room is nice as per picture, bonus it is just 3 mins walk from the train station, so if your journey is late at night, this hotel is just close by to the train station and royal mile."

"Wir hatten zwei Nächte im Revolver gebucht. Bei Anreise (immerhin nach 16 Uhr) war das Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Wir mussten erstmal darauf hinweisen. Der Kollege an der Rezeption/ Bar hat sich gleich gekümmert (er kann sicher am wenigsten dafür) und auf Nachfrage haben wir zumindest mal ein Freigetränk für die Wartezeit bekommen. Das war aber auch das einzig Positive. Der Müll wurde geleert, die benutzen Handtücher kamen weg. Ob das Bett wirklich frisch bezogen wurde kann man nur mutmaßen, so...

"The staff were excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable. One issue, our room was not "refreshed" (new towels trash emptied)when requested. Alisa took care of it personally. She was great. Lobby bar music was a too loud to have a beer, relax with friends. When requested, night staff turned it down to a reasonable level."

"Our room was not ready despite arriving an hour later and wasted additional 15 min for the staff to recheck. Room is comfortable. But bathrooms are simply horrible! Lack of transparency and no place to hang clothes inside bathroom. Wash basin outside bathroom again a bummer. No light switch near bathroom area…not our taste"
