"We stayed in room 212 from August 14-16. On arrival we noticed that the safe was badly damaged and therefore could not be used. The laminate on the bedside table was peeling and the laminate on the drop down shelf had been completely removed. The sheer drape window covering was filthy. "I booked two rooms for an event in Edinburgh. I have stayed in IBIS hotels many times in Europe. BOTH rooms were exceedingly hot. The AC did not work properly. I went down four times for help. Apathy was the rule of the day.
It turns out they knew how to make it work, but did not feel it was necessary to help me until 8am.
I expect two things from a hotel, a clean and comfortable room to sleep and hot water. The room was over 35C, which is unbearable.
