"The Carnoustie Hotel is perfectly situated on site at the Carnoustie Golf Links -- Walk out the back and you're right there! Plentiful free parking, the spa facilities are great after playing golf (I played 3 rounds)! The renovations were not even noticeable except a couple of areas were closed but it has no effect on my stay. Highly recommend!"

"Lots of good, more recent replenishments, like the bathroom, the dining area, and the great swimming pool, hot tub, saunas. Nice well-tended gardens. Great service. But a lot of windows painted immovably shut. And the food was a big let-down. We arrived on Sunday for Sunday dinner at 8, couldn't eat our mains. Breakfasts had the feel of having sat a long time after cooking, bacon burnt to a crisp on 2 out of 4 breakfasts."

"Very nicely appointed rooms. Good overall service. Our check in experience was not good. The rooms were not ready for a 3pm check in. The busy A82 is between the Inn and the Lake- the photo is slightly mos leading."
