"Excellent location. Grand room, liked the bathtub. Nice touches in room, coffees and waters. Breakfast great. Staff friendly and amenable. Room in need of a few minor repairs cosmetically. No parking but road ‘Scores’ behind property is all free parking so no issues. Overall, great value for money and would definitely recommend to anyone"

"The Black Friars has been our best hotel experience so far in our 2 week vacation in Scotland. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rainshower bathroom feature. One can hear some noise from the hallway & a room above. Not a deal breaker. There is no elevator.
The onsite restaurant has a nice selection of entrees, very good tasting food and is reasonably priced.My traveling companion has high praise for the braised short ribs and their truffle fries with Parmesan cheese!
