"An absolute gem of a hotel. About 20-30 minutes on the bus from the centre. Oh and the bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the front door. Every member of staff was just lovely - nothing was too much trouble. My only negative is the steep staircase to get from the front door to the reception. Hard work with a heavy suitcase. "

"Excellent place to stay in Florence. The site has everything we needed - nice restaurant, good shop and a swimming pool. The is a frequent and cheap bus into town at the entrance to the site. We stayed in a bungalow and it was perfect for two people in a lovely large bed with a nice outside seating area."

"ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. My husband and I brought our 7-year old for a 10-day trip in Italy. We explored Rome and Florence but the highlight of our entire experience was staying at Villa la Palagina. The surroundings are gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff was so warm and gracious. It was the perfect getaway from the busy city centers. We booked a wine/olive oil tasting and we got to bring home a souvenir bottle that our son poured and corked directly from the barrel. While the furnishings in our villa were a bit rustic and outdated, the AC and main pools more than made up for it. Especially on those 95+ degree days. 5 stars across the board and I hope we get the chance to visit again!"
