"The Major is in a spectacular part of Rome, right next to Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore (where the hotel gets its name 'major'). This boutique hotel is clean, chic, and well appointed. I was THRILLED however by something quite unexpected: the roof top bar/restaurant with breathtaking views of the basilica! Amazing. I can't wait to go back."

"This is an older quaint hotel but very clean, has AC, very large hot breakfast (optional), walking distance 15-20 mins to all the main attractions. Five min walk to the shopping district. Many restaurants walking distance. Small room but large bathroom, very nice sheets and towels, and very nice toiletries. Bed is very comfortable. Has a mini bar and snacks but no coffee/tea in the room which is the first time I see this in a 4 star hotel. Would be easy to put a kettle and tea / instant coffee...

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Roma Termini and very, very close to all of the things you may want to visit in Rome (including access to the subway). The staff was amazing, helpful and kind. Your key card gets you access to the building, your floor and your room so we felt safe and secure. We didn't get a chance to check out the spa, but had a wonderful time. "
