The room was clean and kept clean with daily housekeeping. The staff were very helpful and smiled a lot. Relatively close (3 - 4 blocks) to the subway. And yes, you can walk to the Vatican from there but the bus (bus stop near hotel) takes you within one and half block to St. Peter's Square. Room was small, but the breakfast buffet was extensive.
