"Very spacious room, very clean and good facilities. There are heavy curtains, window shutters and blinds, though light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs as traffic noise, late night revellers and the chiming clock nearby will still be heard in a room at the front. It’s an older building with character, so there’s only so much can be done to keep noise out."

"I liked having the kitchen area with a fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The free standing fan came in very handy as it was very hot when I visited. As a solo traveller I felt very safe and found it very quiet. Handy to have shops and restaurants nearby. Great to have free parking right at the front of the building."

"Nice hotel in the form of a little palace. Lovely direct view to the coast. For the personnel nothing was too much. Nice hotel when you come as a couple. "

"Quaint stone house converted in to a 10 room hotel. These are quite common in Edinburgh, and there are quite a few of them in the same area. Recently renovated and clean. The other guests were all quite which was nice. A short distance from the action of the Royal Mile, about 10 min by buses that run ever few minutes. WiFi was very slow, but other then that it was a great place to stay and I would stay here again."

"The room albeit quite small was very comfy and nicely done out. I found it really hard to sleep though as the green emergency light made the room very light when I am used to sleeping in total darkness"

"Cosy cabin with outdoor fire pits, and hot tub When traveling, we try and choose places like this as an alternative to the multi story chain hotel. Definitely a preferred option. "
