"Super nice hotel in downtown Monterey Bay! Loved that it was walking distance to a lot of things. Parking was either valet or self park. We did self park which is in a structure for the hotel. Next block over so easy to get to. Amenities were ok. We wished there was a refrigerator in the room. Staff were super nice and friendly. We would definitely stay there again. "

"Went for our Babymoon. Stayed 4 nights. It was outstanding overall! Pros: nice and accommodating staff, ambience was perfection, resort is breathtaking, our room was amazing-loved the deep soaking tubs in and outside the room, heated bathroom floors!!! Dual sided Fireplace we used everyday. Loved the outdoor community fire pits . The water stations and provided refillable water bottle were great-great tasting water and so wonderful to not have to pay for waters. Shuttles to take you around...

"Nice enough, but furniture in the room was uncomfortable. I came home with bruises on both thighs from the "stalks" on the corners of the bed which I had to make sharp turns around to avoid the other furniture. The lounge chair was so stiff and hard it gave me a backache. Asked for and received a second chair so we could both use the table. Just disappointed."

"Breakfast menu was good; the lady was helpful. Excellent coffee. Room was small, claustrophobic, we could see spider webs in the corners of the room. WiFi worked well "

"This is a brand new property, everything is clean and the design is lovely. Our only observations are that our room still smelled like new construction/paint. Obviously that's temporary. Our "premium" room was also directly on a street that had street parking and as a result was very noisy with cars coming and going. Others will have a different experience staying elsewhere in the hotel."

"The first night Carmel was having a heat wave and the room was extremely hot. No AC in the room and only one of the wondows open. I know this is a rare situation but it would have been nice if they had fans in the rooms for days like this. Wouldn't be much of a cost for the Inn and definitely would hve made.the night more bearable. Weather was normal after that and we had a wonderful trip. I usually stay at the Normandy Inn when my wife and I visit Carmel which is a few times a year."

"We had a room next to stair way. Kept slamming, with a baby was not ideal. And there was huge spider nesting in the corner. Lot of windy noise. The aesthetic was great, just needed a little bit of deep clean "

"Hotel was amazing by the beach. You could hear the waves at night. Easy to get to, lots of great walking and close to restaurants. Definitely would book here again"

"Room was extremely small. We have stayed there before and had a wonderful space. Bathroom door had to be pulled shut with two people. I asked for a microwave one staff member said it would be in our room when we returned but it wasn’t. I called and asked for it again and was told they don’t do that. So which is it? I spent over $1,000 for a two night stay and my accommodations should have been much better than it was. Extremely disappointed! "

"The cottage was awesome. It was very clean and quiet. The parking was excellent. You get your own personal space. It felt very safe. "

"Most staff were very nice one pretty girl would not smile for the life of her. Our balcony doors would not lock which seemed to be a little bit of a safety issue. There was no fan in our room. It was very hot. We had to call and request one. Only one night table in that room the set up of the room seems to be very small compared to our friends room. That was there. Parts of the building definitely seemed like they are falling apart."

"The property is lovely with beautifully landscaped areas around the room and an inner courtyard with patio furniture. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped - our group especially enjoyed the fireplaces - easy to turn on and added ambiance. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options and the evening wine and cheese was an added touch. The location is amazing so that you can park your car and walk to many shops, restaurants, Cannery Row, Fishermen's Wharf and the Monterey Bay...
