Scotts Valley hotels from RM367

"We were given two rooms at check-in. One was dirty, never turned over. Went to the front desk and were told the housekeeping staff have left for the day so they issued two other rooms and they both reaked of freshly smoked cigarettes. Also there was a whole crew of workers from a tree trimming company, yelling at each other from room to room and going in the hot tub in their underwear. Overall we got a bad vibe and it felt unsafe for our family of 5. The front desk lady refused to give us a refund even though hotels.com staff went above and beyond to call them and ask for a flexibility given the circumstance. So we left and stayed at the nearby beautiful Hilton hotel, but still had to pay for the two rooms that we did not sleep in."

"I really wanted to love this beachfront property but it was just okay for me. I probably wouldn’t stay here again and check out the hotel next door. Check in customer service was lack luster and there was construction literally next to our ocean view room. So workers walking back and forth dropping pieces of wood etc while you’re trying to relax on the patio. Not entirely sure how clean the sheets were either bc there was hair within them. But the view was good. "
