"There was blood everywhere and the water was white and dirty. There was men digging outside and the parking lot was a mess. The woman manager was extremely rude and didn’t want my service dog around because she is scared of dogs. They charged my son and promised refund that he never got. Housekeeper and manager walk in the rooms without knocking even with a do not disturb sign. They overwork one young housekeeper and I had to purchase my own linens and cleaning supplies."

"Check-in was easy. Parked at our door. The room was clean, new, updated, temp was easy to adjust, bed was very comfortable, quiet and very reasonably priced. Is there anything else. This is an updated motor lodge with the ease of unloading luggage literally feet from our room. I would definitely stay here again. "

"A wonderful hotel with a great room, but honestly, the bed stole the show! It's such a treat to find a place where the mattress is actually comfortable — no sleeping on a rock here! The area is nice and quiet, with restaurants nearby. To top it all off, the complimentary breakfast was delicious"

"What an amazing trip we had !!!!! The hotel was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ! Had the view of the ocean , main beach & the wharf straight from the bed ! And the full moon reflecting on the water at nite - absolutely magical ! Traveled with my 11mo pup & we had the most wonderful experience ever. All we had to do was cross the street & we were at the beach . Staff very friendly . Gorgeous patio/balcony . If you’re traveling with pets - def worth it ! Thank you Casablanca for making our trip so much more...

"The hotel was adequate. The breakfast was pure Motel 6 factory food. Pretty tasteless and bad. We ate out. The room was plain but clean. TV didn't work and staff took a couple of hours to respond. Glad we had books. Overall, given what we experienced, the hotel is seriously over priced."

"I like that the room had a refrigerator and microwave. The hotel is located in area that is very close to a lot of restaurants and shops. It was very easy to get to Monterey from the hotel. The only real is issue was the constant noise from the then walls. I would stay here again the next time I visit the area."

"Toilet flooded. Lady wanted to be cheap and not call a plumber. I tried to unclog it may attempts, and I told her it still needed to look at a plumber. To solve problem. Never staying here again!!! It's a shame, even if is a nice location and place l, that experience sucked!"

"Parking was easy. Floors were not clean. They were swept, but not mopped. Our feet turned black after a couple of hours. I would say this place is stingy. Probably because Santa Cruz is a touristy place. No early check in unless you pay. It was less than an hour before check in and our toddler needed a nap. They offer free coffee and tea in the morning, but no liquid creamers like coffee mate. It was an average hotel. Beds seemed clean. "
