I loved this space - though it is dated, it feels like "old Bali". The garden view and pool were enjoyable and easy to relax in. Everything was very walkable. The beds were a bit firm, but to some they would enjoy this. Staff was friendly and the grounds are kept nicely.

Garden of Eden!
Wonderful garden of Eden! Really nice place, just by the Monkey forest, so you can expect some playful visitors now and then. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast. The only thing: the hotel has seen some better days. It could use some fresh paint on the rooms and some redecorating, just to make the room more useful - some bedside tables with light, changing of the shower (and cleaning it) also water is dripping all the time in the bathroom so the floor is constantly wet. Other than that, its really nice. mazing green garden!

Beautiful place, kind people, very very clean, nice gardens, very good spaces and the food was amazing. The location is perfect, very near the monkey forest and 25 min to ubud market by walk.

Quiet and tranquil stay. Nice and beautiful gardens. Downside is the mosquitoes. Much as we want to relax in the balcony. No free coffee/tea in the room. Can't even boil water.

Nice place to stay.
Nice quiet place in a small village type area. Pool was great, staff very helpful. Deluxe suite was in need of some repair eg new blinds light fittings . No kettle etc . Gardens were good , peaceful feeling. Breakfast was excellent. A good place to stay

Grden View property was beautiful and very well kept. This hotel is not fancy, but that doesn't mean it isn't wonderful. The grounds are very pretty, the pool is clean and cool, and the rooms are clean and both floors of the villa have a porch. What I enjoyed most about my stay was the staff. They went above and beyond making me and my daughters comfortable. Everyone there was kind and gracious and I am happy to call them my friends.

Nice lush location out of the city fray and bustle, but still in convenient walking distance. At night, the walk to town is a narrow path mostly unlit /dark and isolated along the monkey forest. Motorbikes use the path too. Can feel unnerving if alone. Bring a flashlight or charged phone! The hotel is charming and very friendly staff. Bathrooms could use an update with a towel bar. Only soap and 2 towels provided. No bottled water provided after 1st night.

Amazing place. When we came to Bali this is what we wanted to experience. Hotel staff was so friendly and great. Every morning and evening the monkey's would pass through the hotel grounds to get to the sacred monkey forest. Easy walk to the center of Ubud, great restaurants just up the street. We would go back and stay longer.

The secret garden
Watch the movie.::: pretty much sums up these villas. A quiet little magical place. Lots of monkeys, lots of ceckos(make sure to keep your windows and doors closed because they will join you in your room!) the bathtub and shower head didn’t make the cut though. Water a little warmer than barely Luke warm./.... but overall I would stay there again.

Very nice hotel, by Monkey Forest
Great hotel, very calm, great pool, good food, great staff! Location is pretty central, but unfortunatelly have to walk through the narrow and dark shortcut to the village. Note: it is possible to see monkeys in your balcony :)

Close to Monkey Forest in a quiet part of UBUD
Enjoyed being so close to Monkey Forest. Our beds were clean and comfy. Lovely pool and garden. Spacious wooden cottage. Light mildew on furniture .Arriving late at night so my first task was to try and clean off mildew. Bathroom outdoors was overlooked by windows which made me feel vulnerable particularly seeing man on ladder on nearby house being built. Loved being able to sit on balcony and listen to birds-seeing squirrels and the naughty monkeys.

Close to Sacred Monkey Forest and Private Garden
It is a very good budget stay and I love the garden in front of my room - I meditated there every morning! The breakfast was alright but the staff are wonderful! Also, it is very conveniently located to Sacred Monkey Forest, only took me 7-8 minutes walk there. Overall, a nice stay there and very quiet at night - which is what I like the most.

Very nice mid range hotel
I had a budget to stick to and was super happy with the quality of the hotel for my price range. I loved the balcony view, the comfortable bed, lovely staff, delicious breakfast and tranquil pool. Good wifi too. A really peaceful place to stay. It's a little out of town, which I liked. The only drawback was the walk alongside the Monkey Forest (shared with many motorbikes) as the only way to walk into town.

Cheap hotel in great location- love what's going on in this village. Hotel owned by local family which was nice. Don't expect a 4star standard- you're certainly not paying for it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat nearby. Family rooms are great (there are steep stairs up to the upstairs beds though if you have very young children). Expedia site was very expensive compared to others so check.

Central but quiet location.
Great place not far off the beaten path from the Monkey Forest. Being south of the Monkey Forest it is much quieter than being to the north. Great and helpful staff. Room is basic but comfortable. A great place to base camp out for seeing Ubud and the greater area. Definitely reccommended.

Very nice place with lots of character and close to Monkey Forest. Close enough to Ubud for everything you need. Great pool and pretty good breakfast. A kettle with coffee would have been a nice addition and more electrical outlets and a bit warmer hot water would have added to the comfort. But a very reasonable place and good value.

Lovely little hidden gem
I selected this hotel because of the described garden view and also it's close proximity to the sacred monkey forest, as well as the price. Completely blown away by what I got for the money I paid... Location is a few hundred meters from the monkey forest, perfect. At night it is completely silent except the relaxed chirping from the tropical garden. I believe i had the best room on the first floor overlooking the pool and the rear garden. Staff were so helpful and polite, I rented a brilliant moped from the hotel (so convenient) and did some riding around to the islands north and enjoyed the delightful lakes and rice paddies - great locations! 100% when I return to ubud I will come here... For the price I paid I got such a lovely experience. Ok, so the bathroom could do with a spruce, the wifi wasn't great and no tv, however it forced me to embrace my surroundings and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. I look forward to returning.

Location is prime.
Stayed for for a couple nights. It was super close to the Monkey Forest but far away enough that it was still quiet and not a ton of tourists/merchants bugging you. Just a quick walk through the forest and your right downtown. Loved the location, pool, and staff was great. Bring bug spray though, it's in a "garden" so the bugs tend to linger :)
Beware of the monkeys stealing your breakfast :)

Quiet hotel close to the Monkey Forest.
This hotel is amazing value for money if you want a quiet place located in wonderful gardens and are happy to accept that the rooms are a little "tired". The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The Monkey Forest is just a few hundred metres away (monkeys visit the garden daily). Parking is secure and easy. Restaurants and spas are just a few metres away from the main driveway to the hotel. Very little road noise. Very relaxing.

Pleasant traditional cottage for a great price
We would have like to stay a bit longer - Ubud is beautiful, filled with lots of great cafes etc. We stayed here with our three primary aged children. It was great to be such a close walk to the monkey forest. The occasional monkey would appear on the roofs of this hotel too which the children thought was awesome. Accommodation was very open to the elements with an open bathroom and lots of large ants but they did not bite so we happily co existed :) as went looking for a more traditional style accommodation. Our kids were very excited to stay in the upstairs room (though the stairs were very steep which put my heart in my mouth a few times). Great aircons both upstairs & down and a nice garden outlook balcony from upstairs. A lovely breakfast was included too - tea/coffee, fresh fruits or smoothie plus either eggs, pancakes or toast.

Two days in Ubud
Cottages are in a quiet and friendly place, very close to monkey forrest. The staff is really nice. The cottage we got is in need of some renovation.
