The staff at the Marriott were wonderful. I left something in my room after check-out and the receptionist arranged to have it forwarded to my house, which I appreciated. The room on the third floor was fabulous, clean, modern and with a lovely peaceful garden view. My husband booked an overnight for my birthday and a cake was left in my room and the staff in the restaurant made a big fuss over me, which was kind. My only grumble was breakfast, which i thought was poor (the bread looked like it was brought from a local Circle K), and the lack of gluten free options available (it's not my fault I am allergic to gluten and, yet due to covid, restauarants are simplifying their menus and gluten free options seems to be the first thing to be cut). It doesn't take a lot to keep a bag of gluten free pasta in the pantry (freely available from supermarkets in Bali) or a gluten free flour for a pizza base. The Hyatt in Sanur manages to do so and the Marriott should be the same standard. But as I say, my stay was fabulous apart from this :)
