"1. Other than the front desk, the bar tenders, servers , waiters , kitchen staff will not speak in English. 2. Buffet food is not worth the money. Verfy few varieties, no vegetarian options, 3. always a guessing game in reading the food contents label. 4. Inadequate staff in the Buffett area 5. Waiting for buggy all the time 6. Would not recommend to families especially families with younger children 7. Alcate restaurants are always full, it's difficult to find a reservation in a restaurant of our choice 8. The beach had seaweed , so no access to beach all the time. The seaweed will remain there for the entire summer 9. Airport transfer should be included in the pricing, it was a surprise for us to know that we had to pay for the airport transfer 10. The cheffs in the live counter in the buffet area won't speak in English purposely making it easy for avoid for them to take our food request 11. Expedia should stop recommending such resorts and should not really be in this business. "

"This was a beautiful and clean resort. Their pools were amazing, the sports facilities were the best I've ever seen, and the beach was good as there was plenty of lounge chairs. However, the Family Select option is a must as it gives you access to all 4 resorts, a renovated room, and a private beach area. Unfortunately, there was too much seaweed and we had money stolen from our room. "

"Property was ok. Trash in places. The swim up pools smelled like a lake. The beach was not in great condition. Couldn’t really get any adult beverages until 10am. The staff very pushy about the legendary club even called the room multi times a day. Won’t be returning to this resort. "

"This was my 3rd visit to this resort. We were met with the same amazing customer service as always and it continued throughout our stay. We noticed a few differences from previous years, and some aspects were pleasantly the same. Food: almost all really good food, as usual. The Steakville restaurant is one to avoid. A good cut of beef has proven to be hard to find at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. The other restaurants were really good and had lots of variety. It is definitely best to make your reservations as quickly as you can upon arrival for the best dinner choices. Room: The room was quite dated but comfortable. We were told upon arrival that we were being given an upgrade (both rooms that we booked), but they were clearly the rooms we paid for so I'm not sure why that was even mentioned. Grounds: The building and grounds are kept so so clean; this property is really an amazing little gem in the jungle surrounded by lush greenery and lots of different wildlife. Overall we loved it. Still hate fighting for a beach/pool chair but that is a problem everywhere it seems. Resorts need to develop a fair system for that. We saw several towels on chairs all day and no people on them. Shoutout to the two wonderful ladies that were working in the buffet restaurant by the pool. Made us feel so special every time we arrived!"

And Edgar was also great as a host and made our dinner for my sister personable and it made her feel special on her birthday. Thank you Jan. Thank you staff. Me, my sister, my brother in law, and my nephew enjoyed it all"

"We stayed at the Bahía Coba resort which is basic tier of the resorts. The beds were very stiff and the buffet food was decent. Although, there was little communication on how to book the private restaurants for the week that we stayed."
