We stayed in a villa and it was great. Great location - 2 minute walk to Eat Street where all the restaurants and shops are, but slightly moved back so it's more quiet. Great breakfast and the hotel staff were very friendly.
The only downside, and unfortunately it really affected our experience, are the mosquito nets. Yes, the rooms do have mosquito nets which is very much needed. However, they do not completely close. Instead of the mosquito nets hanging from the bed in a full circle, it is more u-shaped, which means that the mosquitoes can still enter the net. We were completely attacked and did not sleep for the entire 2 days we stayed there. The first night, one of the corners fell from the hanging and we suffered because of this. We did speak with the hotel and they did fix it. But again, the nets don't completely close. They do fumigate the rooms every night but it didn't do much for us. And we went in the dry season, so I would hate to see what it's like in the wet season.
We really want to give this place a great review because the villa was great and in a perfect location. However, for us, the mosquito nets really let it down.
